Safe investment – now with a loan (Hungarian Investment Immigration financed option)
Investment into Hungarian government bonds (also called “residency bonds”) is a safe venture, where for a EUR 250,000 5-year investment you get a permanent resident permit in Hungary, which gives you access to the European Union and the Schengen area. The processing fee set by the government is only EUR 40,000, making it the cheapest package in Europe. As we are talking about an investment, not a purchase, the EUR 250k is fully repaid at the end of the investment period.
Although this investment is completely safe, some might prefer to choose a brand new option where they do not have to supply the EUR 250,000 themselves. Instead of investing that sum, they may opt for a bank loan to finance the investment. In this case, the investor transfers EUR 130,000 as a non-refundable financing fee. This sum is used to finance a EUR 250,000 bank loan, where the bank will invest the EUR 250,000 in the name of the client, who will receive the permanent residence permit.
Despite the fact that the EUR 130k financing fee is non-refundable, choosing this option has some advantages. For example, as you do not have to part with the remaining EUR 120,000, you can freely use that sum in your other ventures, invest it elsewhere in hope of greater profit, or have it at your disposal in general. Conversely, it may be the case that you want to obtain the permanent resident permit, but the full EUR 250k + 40k is not at your disposal – then a bank loan can help you achieve your goals.
